This broach is hand sewn on to a base of hand dyed laminated felt which is made by felting wool into silk. The wool shrinks during the felting process while the silk creates a textured surface. On one side of the broach is deep blue and the other a complimentary deep forest green. Both sides are equally embellished to create a unique and dazzling pin. It can be worn on any clothing item or as a decorative hat ornament .
